Welcome to Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, Inc.!

Helping Children of Working Families Get Ready to Succeed in School

Our mission is to provide safe, quality, affordable education and care for children of low-income working families and to prepare the children for kindergarten, ready to read and ready to learn!

Our Childhood Learning Programs

Fun Time provides a comprehensive early childhood learning environment. It is guided by the Florida School Readiness Performance Standards and Head Start Performance Standards.

The children are instructed by teachers with early childhood education and credentialed staff members.

The research-based Creative Curriculum provides a framework and a focus on the interest areas in all classrooms, as well as supporting the teachers in providing an emergent curriculum.

Fun Time offers an academic content in the curriculum for all children two to five years old while recognizing the importance of play in children’s learning.

How You Can Help Us Help Our Children

Through your donations, we can work to bridge the gap between the parent sliding-scale payment and what it actually costs Fun Time to educate each child.

Big Changes at FUN TIME

The annual review of our USDA food program was conducted today by Liz Burgess, Program Specialist. The results were excellent resulting in a “perfect” review with no non-compliances noted. Ms. Burgess stated that a perfect review is highly unusual.
Congratulations to the Fun Time staff especially Ms. Laverne Taylor, Kitchen Manager, for an outstanding job and Helen Cruz for impeccable record keeping.

Part of the fun that goes into #FunTime #SummerCamp is happening at #RiverPark Aquatic Center. Because we live in a water surrounded community, Fun Time works hard to teach kids safe water fun. The #Florida Department of Health states “Florida loses more children under age five to drowning than any other state. Annually in Florida, enough children to fill three to four preschool classrooms drown and do not live to see their fifth birthday. In 2013, Florida had the highest unintentional drowning rate in the nation for the 1–4 year old age group….” Lets work together to keep our kids safe in and out of the water. youtu.be/IfHzVN10DwA ...
